A reorganized collection of NETosis-related COVID-19 information for the scientific community

WHO WE ARE

We are a team of researchers, ranging from undergraduate and graduate students to post-doctoral associates at SickKids Hospital, affiliated with the University of Toronto. We hope to identify the mechanism of NETosis, drugs that treat NET-related diseases, and the roles of collectins in inflammation.

WHAT WE DO

Our goal is to synthesize scientific information (publications) on NETosis, COVID-19, and autoimmunity to provide an up-to-date, organized, and publicly accessible archive of journal articles.

OVERVIEW

NETosis and autoimmunity

Increasing evidence has shown that NETosis plays a pathogenic role in the development of autoimmune diseases, such as Lupus and rheumatoid arthritis.

NETosis and COVID-19

Over-reaction of the immune response to SARS-CoV-2 is a major player in exacerbating the symptoms of COVID-19. NETosis is believed to play a role in inducing further inflammation and recruitment of immune cells and cause collateral damage to the host.
